What is the difference between R20 and R22 refrigerant?
Question:What happens when you put R22 into an R20 system?
Answers:
AZ 20 is a trade name for R-410A which has much higher operating pressures than R-22. they have different boiling points and use different oils in the system. The best thing that could happen is that it won't cool and you have to change the oil in the system. Worst thing is that compressor is gone or acids will be created.
Makes as much sense as filling an unleaded car with diesel
You must be reading the label wrong as R20 is not used for refrigerant, R20 is a Chloroform and is used widely in manufacturing of pesticides, drugs, polymer products etc. It also was used for anaesthetic which is no longer use for. R22 is mostly used in Air Conditioning units and if that is what you have then the freon needed is R22
