None ..stockade fence is steel you would use paint.

I would not do anything to it. If it is treated lumber, it will look greenish for a while and then silver out. If it is a cedar, it will silver out in a couple of years. Painting or staining just makes it easier to see the mildew on it and y ou will either be refinishing it or pressure spraying it every year just so it will look respectable.
