Anyone know where i can get a used changing table with drawers in Ct?

Question:I need to get one before i have my baby ini 3 weeks got any ideas?

Answers:
If you are going to try freecycle.com, you should try craigslist.org too. this is where I acquired ALL the furniture in my apartment. I prefer craigslist, because people sell anything. Freecycle (because it's free) has a lot of smaller things and stuff that people were going to throw out (but it's usually great for baby clothes and food). Craigslist does have a free stuff section too and it is also regional.

Here's the listing of CT regions:

Although they're nice to have, they are not necessary. You can use a small chest as storage.

As for changing the baby, lay her in her crib and change her there.

If you still want one, check your local thrift stores, and furniture consignment stores.
check out FREECYCLE, the goodWill stores, Consignment shops, the classifieds.
Of Course you do realize you don't really need a changing table. ; ) They don't mind being changed on a bed,or a table, or even a bureau top , as long as you are right there with them.

My Dad Told me he used to Sleep in a Dresser Drawer when he was a baby. Not that i'd recommend that.but.. it just goes to show, there's plenty you can get away with, and not have to spend a million dollars. Baby's cost enough already.

If I had one ,i'd give you mine.
Congrats To You , Mom To Be!

some places have www.freecycle.com look up your state and county. People put stuff on there for free. Put a WANTED post and see what you can find. also there should be a Humanity place- you can call the local Social Services to find out. They help people find the stuff for little or nothing. Good Luck!
p.s. you can also get a dresser and put a changing pad on top- then you still have a dresser when the child gets older! :-)
Try visiting garage sales or maybe even ebay. It can be done. Another good idea, is to check out freecycleing programs in your area, a grassroots organization aimed at keeping items out of landfills.
Go consignment shopping for EVERYTHING not just the table. There are tons of good ones in CT and plenty of the clothes etc are in great shape. Not sure where you are but one i like is in Canton on 44 called just kids (i got my changing table for way less than even Walmart had). There are also once upon a child stores all over. Usually the big stuff isn't in the store so call ahead.

I also agree w/ the people that say you don't 'need' a changing table. You can just get a curved pad and put it on any waist height dresser. Now that my daughter is older and a diaper changing fighter we just use the changing pad on the floor - safer for her and us.
Check ebay and your local Craig's List. Also, look in the Sunday paper for people selling them and for yard sales. Many advertise baby items.
