Electricians?
Question:does any one no how to wire a slot in cooker with 3 wires witch go in to small black box at the back of cooker
Answers:
Exactly the same as a normal plug.
Firstly though it should be carried out by an electrician.
If you go ahead you must use 10mm 2core & earth cable.
BLUE ---- NEUTRAL
BROWN ---LIVE
COPPER WIRE ( YELLOW/GREEN) --- EARTH
------------------------------...
RED -------- LIVE
BLACK ------- NEUTRAL
COPPER WIRE ( YELLOW/GREEN)
------------------------------...
Also I would use yellow/green plastic sleve to cover the bare copper wire....
LIKE I SAID THOUGH ITS AN ELECTRICIANS JOD...
GOOD LUCK..(REMOVE FUSE FROM FUSE BOX KEEP IT YOUR5 POCKET UNTIL FINISHED)
The 3 wires should be live earth and neutral. Just wire it the same way that you would wire a plug but make sure you isolate the electricity by pulling the breaker or removing the fuse.
Green/green-yellow to earth(ground) to metal of cooker. Black (Blue) to .Neutral .. Red (Brown) to live or switched part
The EU has different color standards than the US does.
In US
White - Neurtal (Goes to silver screw)
Black - Hot (Goes to brass screw)
Green - Ground (Goes to chasis frame (normally green screw)
In-laws had the same problem and when I looked at it the cooker had approx six screws. Some of the screws had a little brass thing that joined 2 screws together, these stay in. I saw a L and N and the Earth symbol. I connected the Brown, Blue then Yellow accordingly and it worked. It didn't first time because I took those brass bits out.
Did that help?
