1/4" barb into a 1/2" irringation drip line tube, leaks a lot, is there any way to seal up around the hole?

Question:I've got several barbs into drip ilne inthe yard, and they always seem to leak. Can I put something around the barb to keep it from leaking, some solvent that acts like a plastic as it dries, or liquid nails, or something like the glue they use to keep sprinkler heads and pipes on? Any bright ideas? I'll take them! Thanks!

Answers:
go to the depot and but some oatley plumbers epoxy. it comes as clay in a tube. tear off a small piece, mix it up with your fingers and stuff holes and cracks. let dry for about 10 minutes before pressurising system.

Use a goof plug to plug the existing hole and then just punch another for your barb.
