What can I use to fix an object into a hole when I only have access to one side?
Question:I have a small plastic piece that needs to be held in a small hole in a metal piece. I can't use screws or anything that requires access to both sides of the hole. So the object that holds it in place must be able to fit into the hole and then latch on to the inside wall. any ideas?

You are kinda of vague in your question. I'm thinking a molly bolt. Go to the hardware store and see what they have in fasteners.
tape or
hard epoxy putty that you can mold onto the object
and it will harden in a few minutes to hold the object in place.
It is hard to picture what you are trying to do and it depends a bit on the size of the hole in the wall what your options are. But if you are able to fit a paint stick or popsicle stick into the hole, then you try this. Put a hole in the center of the stick and put a string through it, knotting the end of the string so it doesn't pull through. Next, apply some liquid nails to the ends of the stick. Work the stick into the hole while holding onto the string. Once the stick is in the hole, use the string to hold the stick in place while the glue dries (twist the string around a pencil so you don't have to stand there like an idiot).
