Sealing with Sprayer?
Question:I have a fairly large amount of wood to seal and I'm wondering if I can use a sprayer and I was considering Wagner's Power Project Sprayer. Thanks!

Actually spray finishing wood is a preferred method for finishing wood for many serious woodworkers - no brush marks, deeper (not shallower) penetration, higher volume of piece-part output, quicker dry times, etc.
But don't get a Wagner Powerpainter - get a better quality HVLP (high volume/low pressure) system that is designed for holding volatile finishes. Plus the finishes have to be thinned to work in any sprayer. The system below includes a viscosity cup for correctly thinning finishes.
I used a pump sprayer to stain/seal my fence. It worked pretty well, but I also went over it with a cloth to make sure that it was evenly coated and rubbed in. Also those foam brushes work well to apply that as well.
can be done with pump up sprayer, but you might need to thin it down just abit with mineral spirits. and when you clean it up , use plenty of wd-40 spray oil . it is cheap and does a great job.
A sprayer is good but you don't get as much penatration as if using a brush. Watch the wind because it will send the mist all over your house. If you do use the sprayer hit it with a roller or brush real quick for best results
Don't use a wagner. You need a HVLP (high volume low pressure) system which usually operates using a turbine, or air assisted airless which uses a compressor. You can probably rent one at a hardware store or rental supply store. I would recommend using a laquer and thinning it because it will dry quick and prevent a bunch of dust getting into your finish.
