Should I be a beekeeper?

I don't know how much work it would be, but from the people I've spoken to it's very rewarding.
As for the bee die-off, they still haven't figured out what's causing it. It's called Colony Collapse Disorder, or something like that, but basically all the bees leave the colony, except for the queen and the babies, and are never seen again. For the most part, from what I've read, most of the hives effected by this are commercial hives. What that is, is the bee-keepers load the hives on the backs of their trucks, and truck them around the country to pollinate commercial crops (peaches, apples, etc...). For the home bee-keeper, CCD isn't a huge concern, just something to be aware of.
I wouldnt right now! Apparently beekeepers have their hands full with a plague killing off bees, now probably wouldnt be the best time to persue this endevor !
