Anyone interested in knowing what your plumber does not want you to know?

Question:I am thinking of writing an e-book on plumbing what-to-do's & what not to do with the plumbing in your home.
Plumbers make money on mistakes people make using certain cleaning products & drain cleaners, for instance.

Does that sound like a worthwhile pursuit?

My husband is a plumber of 20 years & has alot of info for preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, I thought people might like to know, because plumbers are not cheap!

Answers:
Anything that would save people money on repairs in their homes is worth doing. And I agree plumbers are expensive. So go for it and make good use of 20 years of experience.Good luck with it.

sure its a great idea, sell it on Ebay
not really.
Sure, Id like to know how to save myself some $$ in unnecessary plumbing.
Sounds like a fabulous idea.
Give it a shot! It has to be humerous, and the explanations real clear, with pictures!
That is a very good idea, you may even consider publishing it as a really book as well.
Go for it!! Anything that actually helps people in their lives so much is a thing worth doing!!
Yes, would love t oknow. But if you named the culprit cleaners would they not sue you?
Yeah I would be. Sometimes you just never know what they do not tell you.
sounds good to me, but then again I'm not a plumber and my financial security doesn't depend on other peoples needs of my plumbing service.
Good idea, preventative maintenance ( for anything) is always a good idea, but a lot of it has to do with the water that is used.
Hard water (depending on how much of it is used) will eventually wear the plumbing out. Then again the quality of the plumbing also matters , the stronger the material , the more useful it will be in the long run.
Disclosing trade secrets of a group that knows how get rid of sh*t. Might be a big seller, but I would be careful where went alone.
That would be a great idea! I would definately buy it if it had fairly clear pictures (if it was even remotely difficult) and maybe geared toward woman. Could have pics of u doing it...I know woman are fully capable of that stuff but often doubt themselves and its so much easier to just 'get a man since its a man thing'
i think you should, theres not a whole info on plumbing out there for people.
I would read it!

When the plumber came and knocked out part of the wall to fix the shower, I wished he would have explained it before doing it!
I think it's a great idea. My husband was a plumber as well, and I think you should include all the dumb things people do to their pipes and such. For example, I didn't know you shouldn't flush tissues down the toilet!
That would be handy.
that sounds great!! It is good that someone is willing to take that initiative.
good idea but i dont think plumbing alone will be interesting enough to sell your book. try including other aspects of your home find an electrician, painter, carpet cleaner etc. pick their brains and call a publisher.
