Is putting up wall paper hard?

Question:I found a great mural that i would love to put up but I've never put up wallpaper before. Is it really hard?

Answers:
it can be difficult but there are tricks to help, go to the diynetwork.com and they have all kinds of help for you...and you can visit your local paint shop and see if they can help...

its medium hard. you should read up first.
It is an acquired skill and you should thoroughly understand what is required to do the job.
A visit to a wall paper store would be worthwhile to see if they have any "How to ?" brochures.
The number one problem people have with wallpaper is that it falls down after it is put up. The best way to defeat this is to understand, pre-pasted wallpaper sucks! It never adheres well. You can go to your local home improvement store and buy wallpaper adhesive. Use according to directions, and take your time. Use a wet rag or sponge to work out all the air bubbles as you go. If you do this and line up the sections properly, you shouldn't have too much trouble. Also, it's a good idea to make sure your wall is clean. Wash the area you plan to paper with a good all-purpose cleaner, rinse well, and let dry. It wouldn't hurt to visit the library and check out a book on wallpapering for more tips. Good luck!
not at all, but you do have to apply slowly and carefully. there are some that require a little more work than others, but fairly easy for the most part? good luck!!
Putting up wallpaper is easy...Putting up wallpaper correctly is hard and takes experience..

Ask your friends someone might be able to put it up for you....

I would do it but you are probably a bazillion miles away from me....

Oh and prepasted wallpaper works just fine.Provided that the wall is clean and smooth and you know what you are doing.
yes in the corners and in the high spots. get somebody professional to do it for you.
time and patience and you'll be fine.. dont rush
It's not hard if the wallpaper already has adhesive on the backside. All you have to do is wet it and apply it on the wall with a large wet sponge. I would advice that you get a helper. He/she doesn't have to be experienced.

Before you start, remove whatever you can from the wall. I mean faceplates for wall outlets and switches and air vent inlets, and thermostats, posters, picture frames, nails, etc...And fix any bumps on the wall. Trying to cut around these things are painstaking and end result probably won't look too great.

Also, visualize how the wallpaper will be applied on the wall. Where are the seams going to be? Will you need to apply a small piece of wallpaper to for around the cabinet?
If imperfection can't be avoided, try to plan it so that the seam is where people don't normally look.

Also, use a weight attached to a string to make sure that your wallpaper is straight up and down. Your wall may not be straight up and down, but not too noticeable. But your wallpaper will definitely show it if it is slightly crooked.

Once again, do it with another person. It makes a world of difference.
