How do I cover my cinder block walls?
Question:The interior of my house is simply painted cinder block. I absolutely hate it. Is hanging drywall easy? Does anyone know what my treatment options are to make this look like a normal house?

this may sound like hell but it really is not so with that out of the way you want to get a ramset gun (any home improvement store will have them)and alot of 1"x2" firing strips with the ramset you shoot the strips onto the block walls now here is something you have to remember to do is get extension rings for the outlet and switch boxes now you are ready for drywall shoot on the drywall with screws make sure you get them short(1 1/4 ") just remember to put the strips about 1 every 16" then you mud ,sand ,mud , then sand before you paint sounds like a lot but with a little help it is not too bad
you can put fabric on the walls.. i saw them do it on one of those home interior shows and it looked really nice, plus i dont think it was that expensive either or that hard to put up
Or, you can put plaster on it. It looks great. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and ask someone to show you what it is-you may like it.
You can attach 1x2 furring strips to the wall and then attach drywall or panelling to the furring strips.
