Does anybody have detailed instructions on how to build a gas powered bicycle?
Question:I've checked so many websites on this subject and they continue to try and force purchaseable kits down my throat. I am simply trying to build my own.
Answers:
any gas engine with the shaft coming out the side will work. Remove the rear fender mount the engine over the rear tire.Use a piece of 2 by 10 to mount the engin to. Flatten the ends of some three quarter inch copper pipe cut to length .One end of the pipe will be screwed to the wood, the other end drill a hole Thur and mound to the rear axle, one on each side. mount a small rubber wheel on the engin shaft 3 or 4 inches in diameter . Let it rest on the bicycle wheel. Pedeling the bike will now start the engine. If you have coaster brakes on the bike they will still work.Use a throtle cable off an old lawn mower for your throtle. This is how I did it many years ago.
