Where can i find how to cut down a bathtub to make a step in shower?

Question:I am talking about fiberglass molded tubs

Answers:
While browsing for items for handicapped/disabled living, I ran across a kit like you mention. I believe this is what you are looking for -- http://www.tubcut.com/newpages/tub_cut_d...

Good luck

check with your local home improvement store
You can't cut that one. You can goto a homestore and buy and shower pan that has the drain on one side so it is a direct replacement for your tub.
the tub goes out. Then you frame in a shower stall with 2x4's - and then make a base enclosure for a rubber liner and cement trowelled around the drain(to be later tiled) The you enclosure gets waterproof drywall(or cement board on the 3 walls) for tile.
Not a quick fix.
But you will be up-to-date.
if you learn how to repair fiberglass & gelcoat... you can cut it. install wood blocks in the voids for a solid backer & fiberglass over it!... leave a lip so water dosen't slop out... it will look as good as your repair & if you don\'t like it rip out jack hammer floor & move drain to fit an " acrylic" pan... do not buy fiberglass. royal bath houston, tx makes a very nice one!
