How to polish granite, it feels like the granite has pits?

Question:

Answers:
Check with a local granite supply shop or search online. There are kits that consist of a cloth buffing wheel and polishing compound. If the surface is really badly pitted, you may have to "sand" it, using a series of abrasive discs.

A set of abrasive discs is about $150, and it's messy (you have to wet sand the granite). I'd suggest having a granite shop do the job if it's this bad.

There is a product called Gel-Gloss. It's a cleaner and polisher. Works great.
