I dug the 3 ft holes, dropped in the poles and poured the concrete. How long do I wait?

Question:I put 2 bags of mixed concrete into each hole and set the poles. Now I am waiting for the concrete to set. How many days do I wait for the concrete to set up in these 3ft x 10 inch holes?

Answers:
Concrete needs to be kept moist while curing.. Dry cured concrete can be 50 % weaker than wet cured. You need to cure your pour for a minimum of 72 hours for maximum strength, up to as much as nine days depending on temperatures and the type of cement you used. Check this site. www.nrmca.org/aboutconcrete/ci...

Depends on what type of concrete you used. Some set in a few hours, others may take up to 48 hours.
it should say on the bag
To be safe, wait at least 24 hours.
concrete will set 10-12 hours, thickness depends on long it needs to cure & for what purpose the poles are for, anything with stress wait 24 hours
If you used a standard bag-mix from the home improvment store, 24 hours should be about right to cure.
i would Waite 24 hours at least to set right if you got the quick set mix
Next time you should use the concrete that does not need to be premixed. You can pour that concrete in the posthole dry, put your post in, then hose it down. Thsi works extremely well, and much less labor intensive.
