Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a light ceiling fitting?

Question:a diagram or instructions would be great, i live in the uk

Answers:
The live on the light ceiling fitting must go to the switched live on the ceiling rose, the neutral to neutral and the earth to earth. There is usually a permanent live on the ceiling rose that carries power through to other fittings. I think the switched live is the smaller of the two red wires, but don't quote me on that, as i'm currently recovering in hospital from severe electric shocks!

There are hundreds of light fittings sold and in use in England and there would be lots of different circuits depending on the design of the lamp.A diagram for one fitting would not necessarily apply to the fitting you wish to install. It depends also how knowledgeable you are about house lighting wiring circuits. With a reasonable amount of knowledge I would have thought you could work it out. If you don't have the basic know how don't attempt it yourself.Get a qualified person to do it for you.
Go to www.diydata.com and click on electrics from, there you will be able to print pictures of them.
Go to Home Depot - They have many diffrent electrical diagrams for free. You can then purchase the material that you need. One stop does it all.
All the reds go together. That's the incoming live, outgoing live (if present), and the red in the switch cable.

All the greens go together.

The switched live (that'll be the black from the switch, and should be marked with a piece of red insulation on the end) goes with the brown from the bulb holder.

The blue from the bulb holder goes with the blacks.

The green-and-yellow from the bulb holder (if present) goes with the greens.

Draw yourself a little diagram from what I've said and it'll make sense.
black to black, white to white
