Deburring pvc pipe?

Question:i just finished laying out the pvc lines for my sprinkler system. i used a pvc pipe cutter to cut the pipes and i cleaned it of all the sharp edges. but i wasnt able to debur the inside of the pipe. someone told me to use a deburring tool but i couldn't find one. but i made sure that it was clean and had no burrs. will it affect the flow of water?

Answers:
No it will not affect you water flow at all just a step we old people do lol.
Your water flow and pressure will be ok!!!!!

as long as you removed the burrs somehow, if they are still in there it will restrict water flow, and if they chip off and get into the sprinkler heads it could get worse.

you don't need any specific tool, just knock the burrs and sharp edges off with anything you have and make sure they are clean before you install them, A deburr tool would work well, but its not the only option.
no, you could have used steel wool
Just do the best of your ability, that's all you can do.
You can take some coarse sandpaper or even a knife and get the inside edges of the PVC, but you shouldn't have a problem unless there is a huge amount of burring(?) on the inside of the pipe which is unlikely since you already checked. Sounds like you'll be haveing nooo problems.
hi
just run water first before setting your springler heads so theres no pieces of pvc blocking it
you could have used
a pair of plier and open the jaws and used that to deburr
the right name for the tool is a reammer
it's like a cone shape bit you attach to your drill and has ridges all on the side.
also you could used a sandpaper to ream the inside edge
steel wool or sand paper. As long as you removed the burrs you should have no problems.
If there was no burr on the inside of the pipe, it will not impede the flow. I just you a box knife and go around the inside edge, takes about 10 seconds, and leaves a nice chamfer, thus no burr.
it could slightly affect the flow a good solution is to use a bit of sandpaper or just use asmall blade knife and scrape the inner edge actually the amount of scale buildup at rough joints in pvc is minimal as scale doesn't adhere to pvc as readily as iron pipe a greater problem occurs when using excess cement and leaves dried glob inside smaller diameter pipes (1/2"-3/4")
You can use a razor blade knife to debur pvc but more important is to flush the system before putting your sprinkler heads on.

Just run the system at full pressure and temporary plug heads if the water stops before coming out the last head. Then turn the water off, install the heads and it should work find.
