Best way to attach antennas?
Question:Hello,
I'm looking to attach two antennas to a mortorcycle helmet for a project. I'm aiming for it to look like a robot helmet.
I'm looking for a non-drill way to attach the atennas to the helmet. I'm not sure if I should use contact glue or PVC glue, etc.
Can anyone recomend a way to attach the antennas so they:
Do not fall off
If struck against something, they do not crack off easily
Do not leave/Leave little dry glue residue
Lasts Long
?
Glue, etc would be great. Oh, and something other than tape.
Thank you!

use Goop. you can buy it at the hardware store for about $5.00 a tube. it looks like silicone and comes in a tube like toothpaste. the antennas will be on real good, hope it's an old helmet, or you plan on painting it after you remove them when you are done. i goop ed some bumper trim back on to my old beater car and over the years pushed other cars, trucks, even a dumpster in the wrong location on a job site once. it's still on after over 17 years, and that's on an old chrome bumper, so it will bond to anything. if you are planning to remove it at a future date, you will have to carve it off with a utility knife or razor knife. good luck, i know this will do what you want to do.
u might want to cut a block of wood about one inch square. drill hole in wood not much bigger than diameter of antennae so it pretty much gets stuck in there. i would then try using hot glue to secure antennae to wood and then wood to helmet. good luck.
