How soon can you re-stain after applying a semi-transparent stain?

Question:

Answers:
Best bet is to read the label. Depends on the composition of the semi-transparent

Usually 24 hrs is reccomended if it's oil based, less if it's latex.A good rule is if it's tacky or sticky to the touch or underfoot, wait till its dry.Semi-transparents are very thin and watery so much of the stain soaks into the wood usually resulting in faster dry times than semi or solid stains.
