I have a ceiling fan problem the light fixture spins with the fan anybody know how to fix it?

Question:the fan i have is a harbor breeze cheshire fan we bought from lowes

Answers:
hang on you are in for a ride but you have a screw missing where the fixture screws up to the fan or if it has a threaded tube with a nut on it you need to tighten it

the light should never spin. you either are missing a bolt or a screw somewhere.

take the fan back to lowes.
There is a nut on the down side of the fan unit that you need to loosen. This nut is tightened overly tight at the manufacturer to prevent movement in shipping.
