What is the difference between 8.5 and a 10.5 kwt shower?

Question:

Answers:
The 10.5 kwt will heat the water faster and therefore you can run the shower speed faster at a warmer temperature.
the 8.5 is a waste of time .dont do it!

I have never heard of an electric shower, do you mean a hot water heater? KW is kilowatt, it is the power demand of an electrical appliance or the output of a transformer. The higher the number the higher the power.
About 2 Kwt. Which is about 8 amps. If you are going to install a 10.5 make sure that the supply cable and RCD are big enough to cope.
Too many people upgrade showers without checking these parameters, and end up with melted cables and at worst fires.
So make sure you do the checks.
2.5 kwt.The higher the number the more power it uses.
Just agreeing here with billy big baws post, you need to check what power your home will take, if you buy a shower thats too strong, its all gonna be bad.

Weve got an 8.5 as our electrics wont take the higher rate.
The 8.5 kilowatt shower will probably heat the water quickly enough for a decent shower,....in the summer. In the winter, when the incoming cold water that has to be heated is much, much, colder, it could struggle to reach the temperature you require. Temperature attainable depends how fast you have the water running through, how cold it is when it enters the shower/heater, and the size of the heating element. Bigger is better. Smaller element might mean you have to reduce the flow to achieve the temperature you want, especially, as I said, in winter.
The difference is that if you fit a 10.5 kwat shower it will burn out the wires! Happened to me so watch out!

If you do get the wires and fuses upgraded to cope it will use more power ( 10 and a half kilowats an hour ) so dont stay in the shower for hours at a time.

ON the plus side it will be nice and warm with a decent flow of water instead of a pathetic cold dribble.
10 Kw is more powerfull at warmer temps. as well as checking the power supply make sure you've enough water presure.
Simple 10.5 kwt will heat faster than an 8.5kwt, its all about power
about 2 kwt
