Does anyone know a website that sells stainless steel welded wire by the roll for bird cages?
Question:I can't find a site that I can buy this from. The ideal size is 1/2"X1" mesh on a 36"X50' roll. I have found many with galvanized steel but this is toxic for birds.

McMaster-Carr sells a variety of stainless steel wire cloth, although not with the rectangular 1/2" by 1" mesh you'd like. They do have 1/2" square as well as many other sizes. Go to http://www.mcmaster.com/ and type "wire cloth" in the Find Products box in the upper left corner. Then use their drill down menu to make a selection.
Look at the stainless steel wire mesh at http://www.acrylicbirdcages.com/... . It is not in the 1/2 X 1 size, but in 1/2 and 1 inch square mesh sizes. They do have PVC coated welded, galvanized wire mesh in the 1/2 X 1 inch size. They sell this specifically for bird cages.
