Question:

Answers:
a ground is just a dead wire basically to stop a charge from going were you don't want it.get a slant on the switch just like reading from left 2 right left is positive right is negative don't worry if you get it backward it will not exploded it'll simply not work just reverse the wires and shazam LET THEIR BE LIGHT

Ground the box.
like the person above said, ground it to the box, that is if you have a metal box, otherwise just buy a new switch, sounds like you have a old switch, all the new ones have ground screws.
a good switch cost about a buck
You don't. If the box is metal, ground it. If not, change the switch out to a grounding type. If the switch is not within reach of ground, fold the wire back into the box and forget it.

Ground: sink, tub, stool, outdoors, concrete floor....
If its a metal box attach the ground wire to the box . If not cruel the end of the ground wire and place it under one of the 2 screws that hold the switch to the box

PS if its a metal box you local home center has small grounding clamps and snap onto the edge of a metal box
when no screw is available for a ground use a wire and screw to box that is if its a metal box,
