if something you have bought from anywhere is not fit for the purpose it was intended, ie faulity then the retailer is legally obliged to refund your money.

B&Q are legally obliged to give you money back for faulty items. If you've just changed your mind however they can give you a cover note if they want.

They have a returns counter, usually just inside the door where you can return anything - with the receipt to prove where and when you bought it. I've found they exchange goods or refund, whichever you ask them to.

they refunded me when i got the wrong thing i believe they have to offer a refund as well as a credit note by law
