The best way to frame my bathroom mirror instead of buying a new one?

if the mirror size isnt too big go to a home store - a cheaper one like Mervyns or JC Penny (do they have home stuff?) or Target and buy a big piece of framed art that is the same size as you mirror then swap the painting print out for you mirror...probably cost you less than $100...no finishing needed.
If it is a square mirror you can go to Hobby Lobby or any other craft store and buy frames pieces..then paint and do it yourself. All it takes a a little wood glue and know how to measure.
i had a mirror fixed to plywood and used small tiles around the edges for the frame.
You can also go to your local building supplier, lumber yard, or DIY store like Lowes or home depot and look at there trim profiles to find one that you like. You will need a mitre saw if you do not have one but a simple mitre box and hand saw is pretty cheap. You can nail it on with finish nails being sure not to hit tha mirror, or you can hot glue it, or liquid nails and masking tspe to hold ths trim in place while the glue dries, or you can use contact cement. [just coat both surfaces let dry and press into place paint and viola'. If you use your imagination the possibilities are endless. Good luck
A great way to make a very rustic looking frame is to use some old wood shiplap(dutchlap siding). The siding already has a recess in the back where the mirror can sit and all you have to do is mitre the corners and trim nail it together. Then put a piece of paneling across the whole back to finish it.
