Are their any household items that could be used as a wood sealant?

Question:im looking to make some wooden earings and i dont have any proper wood sealant or finish. i was wondering if there is any household products that could subsitute as a wood sealant.

Answers:
use a buffer pad on a dremel tool or on a grinder to buff the finished product to a high gloss you can then buff again using mineral oil or wax to seal. this will produce a high gloss finished product, providing you have finished sanded the wood with a 300 or higher grit sand paper or emery paper.any type of wax is a natural sealant. floor wax, furniture wax, pledge etc.

Clear nail polish should work beautifully for this purpose. Even shoe or furniture polish may likely work. Test them all on scrap wood.
cooking oil should work id rub it on them or soak em in it it would be best if ya had peanut oil
Cooking oil might become sticky with age.
I think Vinegar seals the wood.
