What would be a good drainage system for a horse barn?

Question:I'm building a horse barn and need to know these things. It's going to have one central aisle with stalls on each side.

Answers:
Have each stall angled at about a .5% grade so that the marginally lower end of the stall drains out into the centre aisle. Have the entire barns floor designed in the same fashion so that if you were to draw the design it would be as an elongated X. Where the two lines meet is where you have your main drainage access. Just make sure you hose everything down once a week and have proper matting for the horses. Which I'm sure you will. Hey ... if you ever need someone to muck out the stalls, keep me in mind.

you need a french drain , it best to locate this at the back of the stalls, so when you wash out the stalls it goes into the drain, a french drain ,is really a trench, dug 18ins deep. and filled with stone/pipes and more stone ,very simple.
but works, the Romans used it for waste disposal
