Growing tips? REWARD !!?

Question:whoever gives me the most tips and or websites for growing your own flowers from seed, maintianing, something that helps for faster germination, ect, will be chosen the best answer. thank-you .

Answers:
It depends on the flowers you are growing, but you generally want to start them in a loose starter potting soil or in a peat seed tray. Start the germination in the dark, and either on a heat mat or in a place that is between 85-90 degrees. Over watering is the No 1 killer of young plants. you want to keep them moist, but not saturated. Each plant with have it's own needs, but you generally start feeding them with a high nitrogen fertilizer once the plants are established. For flowers or vegetables, you want to add more potassium and phosphorus as they grow, and use less nitrogen. Nitrogen prmotes rapid, lush leaves and plants, but potassium and phosphorus are what's important for flowers and fruit to grow. That is why the poster above failed with his otherwise healthy tomato plants. There are 3 part fertilizer packages that have instructions for different kinds of plants that say how much of each to use during the plants life. Fox Farms, GH and Earth Juice are 3 very good brands that sell these 3-part systems. Sea fertilizers that include fish and kelp, along with Humic acid will not burn plants like synthetic fertilizers and will do a great job for you with the addition of some bat guano or some other source of P+K. Worm castings also do wonders for all plants. The best site I know of is wormsway.com They have everything you would ever need along with product descriptions and reviews by customers who have tried them. You can also email them with questions and they will respond quickly with a knowledgable answer.

For most flowers the most important things are good light, good nutrient rich and light.airy soil. Regular watering, without over doing it, and the occasional mild fertilizer application will make sure you have the lushest garden on your block. Here is a good site for learning more:

How you plant things is going to vary, depending on what it is of course, but after you plant things, if you have good soil, you dont really need fertilizer. One year I put nitrogen in with my tomatoes and they made really big plants, but the tomatoes were really small. So I dont suggest using too much extra.besides thats the beauty of having a garden, you dont have to add a bunch of chemicals to grow things. Just make sure you give them plenty of water and check them often for bugs and worms. If you do get little pests like that, go to a feed store and buy what is called ORTHINE. It comes in a powder form and you mix it with water. It stinks really bad, but it will get the job done. If you plant onions, keep the dirt loosened from around the bulbs, and it will help them get bigger. The tips I could give you really depend on what you plant, I always have a good garden with good results, but I do not know where you live and what you are trying to grow.nevertheless, good luck to you!!
