if your going to try stopping the water after it has penetrated the wall and before it gets into your basement you will be wasting your money !
you have to stop the water before it gets to your wall, try a layer of plastic and rock sloped away from your house for proper water run off . now you can paint that block whatever color you want.
go to home depot they have it
there is one on the market but it is nasty

ask at sherwin williams dont bother the big boxes ,,they dont know **** most of the time
There definitely is. My old painting partner had told me about a material that amazed him. He applied it to dripping walls in basements and it would seal. But I don't remember the name of the product(we don't have much call for painting basements in California ;). Just do a little research for basement sealing paints. I imagine the best stuff will be two part epoxies or elastomeric coatings(depending on what level of sealing you need)
The product is called Drylok. There is 4 versions of this product. I would recommend the latex version just for odor alone. There is a 10 year warranty on this product as well. UGL is the company and has been making a waterproofer for over 50 years. www.ugl.com/drylok/...
I used drylock in my basement. Need two coats. It's 900 sq ft and I used 10 gallons. I rented a texture sprayer at HomeDepot (the one with wheels and not the hand held one you hook up to an air compressor) and sprayed it on while someone else came back over it with a 1" nap roller and back rolled it. If there are any holes use hydraulic cement patch before you paint it.
drylock paint at home depot.
Most paint centers have waterproofing paint as does Menards, Home Depot, Lowe,s.
