Deckscapes and Woodscapes brand wood stain?
Question:Has anyone used these products? How did it go? Can you tell about your experience, please? (We just bought a log home, and we are looking at our options for sealing the logs...)
Thanks!

Do not...use water with ANY stain..oil and water does not mix..best product on the market , can be clear or stained colored. This is available at Sherwin Williams..Do not use any second rate junk like home depot or lowes..Buy from A place that sells paint.Another problem with diy stores is the inconsistancy of colors if you run out and need more. These type stores when the person experienced(somewhat) is not there , on lunch,or on his/her two days off, will drag people out of the garden department, tile department etc to take thier place, and they don't have a clue...I have painted since 13, 37 years, and have A paint incorporation now.I have had many inconsistancy problems with diy stores, and the products ARE NOT THE SAME as REAL paint stores...some stores sell thier budget rate paints to stores and label them for the store..eg...dutch boy, colorplace, etc is made by sherwin williams, but not the same quality as thier store paints.
OK Ive used , sherwinwilliams stain ,thinking they were the best , at the time i thought they were? however at lowes they sell the same stain ,and is much cheaper .
i have used lots of brands of stain , what i found was , it was best to spray it on, and have a person behind you Rollin it in , give two light coats, then use a sealer. i don't think any one stain is better than the other ones, but i got it in five gallons, it covered 1800sq feet once, ,and you can use a little water with any stain ,maybe 5% at the most
