How do I re-attach the pull chain on my ceiling fan?

Question:The ceiling fan is more than 10 years old, but otherwise is in good working order. It has 2 pull-chains; one for the light, that hangs from the center, and one for the fan speed, that hangs from the side. Recently, I tugged on the fan speed chain, and it detached from the inside, leaving nothing to re-attach a new chain to.

Answers:
You can buy a new pull chain altogether. GB (Gardner Bender) makes them everyday. If your chain came out I dont see another way. Dont worry they are extremely easy to change out.

i bet you a dollar for a Penney that the recoil from the pull sent your connection flying into the celling now you can buy anotheir bass or reach up ther and try to find it
If the chain is broke smooth off inside the switch you will have to replace the switch itself home depot Carry's them
