How do I catch a GECKO in my house?
Question:It's a common house gecko and it's very annoying.
Answers:
I'm kinda going along with other answers, WHY?
How annoying can it really be? Usual adult length somewhere in the 3 inch range; not at all harmful; eats as many insects as it can; has a relatively short life span; Probably exists in dozens of types; makes a decent car insurance commercial; yada yada yada.
I live in central FL. They; among other critters are a fact of life. I happen to have a Cat who hunts indoors, and takes care of anything that flies, crawls, walks. Sadly that includes the wee lizards.
I think having a gecko inside the house is normal. becoz they hunt the insects mostly in the night. Also they have to live like us. So my suggestion is" better leave them anyway they don't harm u. Right?
I wish I had a gecko! They're great for keeping insects at bay! But maybe there are issues with them I hadn't thought of . . .
I suspect house cats are great for keeping house geckos at bay!
sit out some crickets they will eventually come to eat them
rope that baby othe wise good luck
Just start shopping online for car insurance, he'll be out giving you advise in about 2 minutes!!

Basically you have to catch them by hand. We have both gecko's and those little green anole lizards, they're harmless. Try naming it and maybe it won't be so annoying.
Get a Caveman or a cat. Cats love to hunt and Cavemen really hate that gecko.
Call Geico and they will send out a Caveman to take care of it. Where on earth do you live?
HERE'S THE ANSWER:
First, I imagine you live in Florida or somewhere near there. These little guys are awfully cute, in my opinion, and they really are more beneficial than harmful. But if you insist on getting rid of it, stop at any home center and pick up a couple of glue traps as used for mice control. Get the cardboard ones not the plastic because of the raised edges. Place these near the refrigerator. The geckos seem to like the back of the fridge, I guess for the heat or the moisture. The poor little guy will get stuck on the glue and die. I feel bad (shame on you! LOL) but that's the way to do it. Some have said "by hand". Lemmie tell ya... if you can catch that guy by hand you are a helluva lot faster than I am!
the easiest way to catch any lizard is to break off a long piece of wild oat and make a slip knot. They will sit still because it's natural to them, where as they "know" immediately when your hand gets close to them.
