i filled the base of mine with water, then added the sandbags...i haven't had it fall over...it's been here for 8 years now. the kids have thoroughly "punished" it over the years and it's still like new.
A diagonal brace that ia attached to a stake should make a large difference.
i used 4 big concrete blocks and mine has stood there in the worst winds we have had for 5 years now.
