How do you repair a new sofa that has a broken spring and arms?

Question:The sofa was cheaply made and very light to lift as well. THE spring was broken by a single man sitting in it. The arms are ripping off because of the sofa being moved by the arms. (It's a three seater).Can this be repaired at home or do I have to call the professionals in?

Depends on your skill level. I think I'd try to take it back first, and buy something of a little better quality. Some serious yard saling could net a fine sofa in excellent condition for not much money if somebody is moving and doesn't want to haul it along.
