Wooden Sword Price?

Question:One of my aquantences wished to have me create a "wooden ninja sword" (since I am handy in the shop) and offered to pay me for it. It is an exact replica of some sort of ancient foreign sword... It is 4' long, made of "aeromatic cedar" (the good-smelling wood in cedar chests), and has a blade that tapers from 3.5" to 2"... It is of great quality and took me 5 hours to make (3 of the hours trying to figure out how to make the handle shaped right...)... My question is, how much should I charge for it. I already had the materials, and the only thing it really costed was my entire afternoon... Any advice would be helpful.

Answers:
Figure out a reasonable hourly rate, $15-30 an hour maybe...whatever seems fair to you. Calculate how many hours you worked on it and there you go!

The red oak wooden sword I bought cost me $35
They are called Bokken and one that size would range in price from $15 to $60 dollars. However, one that has been hand crafted and personalized... you might be able to get up to $80 for. But I doubt you could get more then that. Very cool talent though
