Hard wood floors?

Question:are hard wood floors easy to install and what is the price range for them?

Answers:
Yes, the Pergo type are extremely easy, and the price range is between $2.00 to $15.00 per foot

I would not say that hardwood floors are easy to install. Some brands of flooring might be easier than others, but it is all hard work. It takes some skill to do as well. Labor on nail down is generally $1.50 to $2 a sq ft here. Glue down is generally higher.
My mother could install the pergo type floors. With Helen Keller helping, they are easy to install, Lowes and Home depot has good prices on these floors
Pergo is very easy, but since you asked about hardwood, I'm sure the other answers aren't very helpful for you. I installed floating hardwood floors in a 220 sq. foot room a few weeks ago. It isn't extremely difficult, but it isn't easy, and it is time consuming. I spent $1,300 on the floors, and about $500 on the trim, padding, transitions, glue and a few small tools, after borrowing all the saws, finishing nailer, air compressor, etc. Installation ranges from about $700 - $1,200 per room if you hire someone. I'd say almost anyone can do it, but have a friend help you. Allow yourself a couple days of solid work per room, measure twice - cut once, and have plenty of beer on ice. Removing the carpet and prepping the floor for the wood was the worst of it. Once you are actually laying planks it's not too bad.
it all depends on the type of flooring you want to install. more details would have been better.
hardwood floors are east to install you must leave a 1/4 inch space around the walls for expansion, and stagger all the seams, try the 9feet 6 feet 3 feet layout.the first boards have to be square and you have to drill small holes in them to nail and hold them in place.
