What is a great, simple filing system I can set up for my own personal home office ?
Question:I do try to to be organized but I go crazy just trying to put my filing things in order. I set up too many filing systems that I end up where I started---lost and frustrated!

I have everything in Quicken. If you keep organized you can file as you go and not have massive piles of paper.
I divide everything by type, each credit card separately, utilities all in one, each car separately, insurance all in one, tax docs for current year, etc., and file alphabetically & by date in a file drawer or box. I have a Brother labeler and use file folders and hanging folders. Receipts go in a plastic tub for each year until I toss or shred the ones I don't need.
