Simulate a hose?

Question:I split some coal on my apartment patio and it has rained a few times now it is just a big wet pile of coal. There is no hose in my apartment. What is the best way to simulate a hose. Is it possible to hook one up to a kitchen facet or something? Thanks!

Answers:
Most kitchen and bath faucets have a screw off end that holds a small piece of screening called a defuser. You can screw this off and take it to your local hardware store and get an adapter to fit your garden hose onto your faucet. These are common items used to fill water beds ect.. You could also use the drain fitting on the bottom of your hot water heater which will accept a garden hose but be careful that the hose will handle the hot water. Don't get burned.

duct tape a hose to your kitchen faucet
Most kitchen faucets have a ring on them that screws off and then you can thread a hose on to it. good luck
some faucets will let you hook a hose to them not all! Take a dust pan and pick up most of it them get a couple buckets of water and a broom and rinse you patio down!
DO YOU HAVE A WET DRY VAC??
IF SO GO OVER IT FIRST AND GET THE MESS UP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE..THEN TAKE SOME WARM WATER AND THROW ONTO THE MESS AND SWEEP IT OFF..CONTINUE THIS UNTIL ITS GONE..SHOULDNT BE TOO HARD OR TAKE TOO LONG...
yes you can hook a hose to your faucet in the sink
