What kind of wire do i use to run electrcity to my house?

Question:i need to run some kind of wire by direct burial to hook up electricty to my house but nobody can tell me what kind please help!

Answers:
Are you talking gauge of wire?

Talk to an electrician

copper wiring. covered in a sub-ground level approved coating.
If you think this is the place to find the answer to that question, I hope you will NOT try to do this yourself. Call an electrician.
Call your power company, they have strict requirements.
Speaker Wire.
the electric company will run the wire to your meter witch will be mounted on the side of your house. You will run wire from the meter through your wall and to your service the size is based on how many amp. service you have. match the wire in amp rating to the size (amps) service panel you have.
There is a lot of missing information to better answer this question, I would need to know:
1. is this a single family home
2. how far will the wire need to run
3. do you have electric appliances including your heating and air
4. how much room do you want for expansion
One thing I can tell you is that you should run a PVC pipe and pull your feed in that. You don't want a feed like that unprotected.
At any rate your best bet is to hire an electrician to do the work for you. If you are talking about making a whole new service that's not something a harry the home owner should be doing not to mention that for the power company to tie in the feed and to set your meter you will need a full electrical inspection. There rule is no pass no meter.
