I have patio chairs and cant get the laquer off?

Question:I want to paint them do I need to get all the laquer off since I'm going to primer them anyway? I'm down to a 60 grit and I feel like I'm getting nowhere.

Answers:
If you have used 60 grit sandpaper, believe me the laquer is gone or should be. Prime and paint. Be sure and use oil base enamel.

Now that they are roughed up, apply a good primer, then paint away should be no problem
