What are the metal clips for?

Question:I have received a double bed off ebay that splits into two, they have supplied two metal clips, I assume these are to hold it together, but I don't know how?

Answers:
You clip the two halves together under the bed. there should be places at each end of the join where you can slip the clips on but you may have to push into the cover under the bed

yes the 2 metal clips are to hold the base together i know this as we used to have one .
Sounds like the pieces used to hold the headboard on.
Most double beds are in two parts; a head end and a foot end, held together with clips. Have a look at the side of a friend's bed (or sneak a look in a local furniture shop) and you will see how they fit. You should have received some screws to go with them. You may have to find the holes where the screws go by feel, and then pierce the fabric covering to get the screws in.
They clip the two parts of the bed together underneath just stand the bed on it's side and you will see or feel where they go
Normally the two metal plates hold the base together , one on the left hand side , and one at the right hand side at the bottom in the centre .
hope this helps .
