I have stackable bookshelves and need a quick and easy way to reinforce them?

to ea. other... drill a hole for dowels... cut the dowel about 2" or less then make sure u line up the holes on the bttm. of one bkshf & the top of the other bkshlf. then shoot some glue in the hole then the dowel... then the glue in the holes of the bttm. & line them up & mallot them together. U may want to secure them to the wall as well. Ck w/ the hardware store for what they may recommend.


you could install angle iron on the back two corners
Put a thin (1/8" masonite) back on the shelves. Nail or screw the back down the sides, across the top, and into the shelves. This will straighten the shelves in the back. If they still sag in the front add either dowels as already suggested or cut 1x4's and slide in the center of each shelf from floor to each shelf above.
