Staining Porch, how do I get the stain between the boards?

Question:I dont want the surface to look good but still have the original wood shade showing in the cracks.

Answers:
Try using a thin foam brush for between the boards. They come in various widths & are VERY inexpensive so you can buy a bunch in case they tear. This may be a bit tedious, but it gets the job done with less mess. And don't soak the foam in the stain- alttle goes a long way with these types of brushes & it will keep the stain from dripping everywhere.

I use a tank sprayer and it works really well.
use air compressor to stain
you have to take the staining stuff on like a paintbrush and take a big glop of it. then slap it on the boards kinda roughly. you can smooth it out as you go. good luck!
I stained mine last summer. YES, get the foam brushes in your local paint store or home improvement center. The are black foam. Just dip in the stain and run the foam brush between the boards... pretty easy and effective.
