A typical wall in the US is 8 ft. tall. Is there a standard wall height in Europe (esp. France and/or UK)?

So you know, the "standard" in the US is 97 1/8". Pre-cut studs are 92 5/8" and you have 4 1/2" in one bottom plate and two top plates. In theory, this allows for 1/2" drywall on ceiling two courses of 48" drywall on the walls and 5/8" for the finish flooring.
I'm waiting to see what the standard is in Europe.
Are you talking about ceiling height ? You had me guessing there...started thinking about door heights.
I don't think there is a standard, but maybe I'm just ignorant.
It's obviously higher than the door :-)) which is 204cm in France but it seems to me to be less in UK.
Wallpaper is sold in 10.05 metre rolls isn't it? Four drops if no matching to do, that makes it about 2m50., sounds about right.
Sorry to be less precise than the first knowledgeable answerer.
