How can you make hardwood floors stop squeeking?

Question:Is it possible?

Answers:
i think i saw in a commercial that putting some baby power in the cracks helps

talcum powder might help. put it in the cracks.
Use finishing pails and nail the spots where it squeaks.
baby powder is only temparory at best if it does work. the only two ways i have found is to go under the floor and try and put screws in from underneath the subfloor. it could pullm the flooring down tight , but might make the boards uneven. but it will stop the squeak. if you were going to refinishing them i would say get an 18 gauge finish nailer and face nailk them but you would definitely need to sand them. it wil have small holes then. you might be able to nail them and put filler in the nail holes. best advice I have.
