A cold chisel and hammer. Be light so that you dont harm the brick in the process.
After the hammer and chisel, use a wire brush to tidy it up!
mashhammer & bolser start from the top & work your way down have the bolser on a 45 degrees angle that way you dont dammage the brick work you can buy a mashhammer & bolster from a hardware shop
