What size drain in shower stall?

Question:im building a shower stall,,what size drain should i use,,1 1/2 inch drain or 2 inch drain

Answers:
2" drain is what our plumbers use

2 would be better but check w/ local plumbing codes.
2" is code.
2" is standard, and code, for a single diverter set up, but you can always increase the size for faster & better drainage.
If there is more water, say from a dual diverter set up, code would like you to increase the size of the drain, from 2" to a larger 2.5" or 3".
Always check your local codes.
