How to disassemle hotpoint dryer to change belt. dryer is heating up but drum not spinning?

2 ways - turn off at the mains and either unscrew the back guard, about 10 screws and work from the back or remove the top, 2 screws at the back and slide the whole top backwards and up and off.
Slacken off the bolts to the motor at its mounts and fit a new belt, tension the belt by lifting the motor and re-tighten the bolts, refit the back guard (or top) and plug in and test.
Its a really simple job
Unplug it then take the back off.
take back cover of dryer and check that the motor is running if its is you should see the belt slipping this would indicate that the belt needs to be changed
if the belt is slipping release the motor securing nuts then remove the old belt place new 1 on then replace the motor nuts
if the motor is not running you would need to replace the motor
