Oil based primer clean up??
Question:I just primed a room with an oil-based primer and didnt realize the how hard it would be to clean up untill I tried to clean the roller, and got the primer all over my hands. I tossed the roller and paint brush, but it is all over my diamond anniversary and wedding ring. I tried washing it, and soaking it in soapy water.. It will not come off...Does anyone know how I can get it off with out scratching the ring ?
Answers:
Dip a clean white cloth in oderless paint thinner. Rub the paint coated area of the ring rapidly, but with little pressure. You may want to take it to a jewler to buff out the paint.
Try using a bit of paint remover to get the paint off your rings and then wash with Dawn Dish Detergent to clean off the remover smell. Works great.
I've done the same thing.
try soaking it in baby oil, and using a toothbrush or whatever soft little brush you might have laying around....babyoil is an amazing hand cleaner
