How can I clean my room w/out getting overwhelmed? And how should I decorate my room?
Question:I have a very messy, cluttered room that needs to be cleaned asap. I would like to know if there are any methods of cleaning my room that would make it less overwhelming than just starting to clean.
Also, I would like to know how I can decorate my room when I can't get the walls painted. I have no closet and no dresser. Just a bed, desk, desk lamp, floor lamp, 2 wire cube sets, and a closet rod inbetween to hang clothes on. My room is 10.4 by 12.5 feet + a 6 by 2 window area. The ceiling goes from 10 feet high to 15 (est.) feet high. Maybe taller. Room colors are lightish blue, lightish green, and a soft pink. Wall color is white.
Any help is great! Thanks!

Music is a GREAT help when you clean your room. Bring all the supplies you'll need to do the job (trash bags, vacuum, dusting stuff, etc.) before you start, that way you're not running all over the place for this stuff. Work by organizing everything first and then start to get rid of stuff you don't need. When you declutter a room, it makes you feel a lot better - sound weird? Haha, it's so true though! From there, start putting stuff where you want it, which brings us to decorating.
Once you have declutterd, thrown away what you don't want/need in the bedroom and organized most of your stuff, you can decorate! For this, I would suggest moving your stuff around so that it will give you the most space. This can take some time, but when you do find an arrangement that gives you plenty of room, it'll feel and look great! I recently moved furniture around in my room and made it look twice as big! With the colors you have in your room, you could do quite a bit. Maybe try getting some weird crafty arts stuff and making a nature scene on your wall or do a collage of pictures! Just a few suggestions...good luck and have fun! Remember the lest cluttered it is, the happier and more relived you can feel - also remember that this your personal space, so keep it fun and make it your own!
